A woman who is convicted of causing the death of a Pearland Police Officer has been sentenced.
Amber Willemsen was given 32 years in prison Thursday for hitting and killing a 30-year-old officer. Authorities say Willemsen was driving under the influence, but her defense attorney says she is an addict needing treatment.
Willemsen had asked jurors for a probation sentence in lieu of serving prison time.
