A new study indicates that conservative news media is growing under President Trump. But, Conservative media analysts aren’t sure this is enough.
According to the Newswhip study the growth is occurring online with conservative news sites. Dan Gainor of the Media Research Center says the growth is nice.
“Ten years ago we didn’t have sites like The Blaze and Twitchy. There has been growth and it’s good to see the growth is in new media,” Gainor explained.
But there is a flip side to all of this. Gainor says conservative media needs a lot of weapons to fight the mainstream media.
“It needs money and staff. It needs more people who are trained in the traditional skills of journalism,” Gainor stated.
And he says having conservative colleges teach more journalism will be key in this. Schools like Hillsdale have started doing just that.
