Private Medical Records Found by Houston Dumpster

Public anger is percolating over Texas Health and Human Services' admission of the accidental release of private medical information.

The agency announced Friday that more 1,800 people may be affected by the breach, which occurred at a Houston eligibility office.

The information was found next to an unsecured dumpster -- and included names, client numbers, health information and bank account numbers.

The agency is investigating.  People that worried their data may have been exposed should go to hhs.texas.gov, the agency says.
