A woman's body has been found near Crystal Beach -- and it matches the description of a missing young mother who was visiting its popular coast, the U.S. Coast Guard announced Tuesday morning.
Brandy Mosley, 33, went missing Monday afternoon off the Bolivar Peninsula after she helped pull her 4-year-old from the dangerous Gulf currents.
Her child was wearing inflatable "water wings" near the shoreline but was pulled into the water. Mosley and a relative went into the gulf to pull the boy back to the shore.
Mosley disappeared, however. Family, officials and volunteers searched unsuccessfully for hours while a search plane repeatedly crisscrossed overhead.
A body matching Mosley's description was spotted Tuesday morning.
