Jeff Wagner will become the new mayor of Pasadena, after winning a runoff election against J.R. Moon.
Outgoing mayor Johnny Isabelle was restricted from running for re-election by term limits.
Wagner and Moon emerged as the finalists in a seven-candidate race, which was tainted by racial tensions and questions about integrity at the ballot box.
Wagner was also accused of tampering with his opponent’s campaign signs.
Less than 7,000 votes were cast in the runoff.
