The Children’s Museum of Houston is hosting a “Guardians of the Galaxy” event Saturday.
The attractions include:
--Guardians meet-and-greet with Star Lord, Gamora and Yondu.
--Galactic costume workshop.
--Galactic costume mashup show, with movie tickets as prizes.
--Baby Groot mask design.
--Yondu’s fin.
--Pixelated Galaxy: Learn about pixels when by designing a galaxy at Junktion.
--Create a planet at Alexander Art Academy.
-- Use programming symbols to draw constellations at EcoStation.
--Race to Space: Take an “intergalactic race” and be first to reach 100 at ExxonMobil Math Cart.
--Convert peg board characters into 8-bit animated images at Science Station.
--Program a device to play tunes at Chevron Houston Texans Maker Annex.
The museum is located at 1500 Binz. Doors open at 10 a.m. Saturday for the event.
