Homeowner Tied Up, Beaten During Robbery

A homeowner in west Houston was reportedly hogtied by five men who ransacked his house, getting away with cash and jewelry.

The unidentified man was reportedly home alone in the Briar Forest area when the invasion occurred.  His wife and two children were away, but they believe the house was being watched before the break in.  During the incident, he was also beaten with the butt of a gun.

The wife tells our TV partner KPRC Channel-2, “They went through every room… Every single drawer, they even went through my washer and dryer."   The couple believes they were targeted because they own a small business.

The suspects reportedly escaped in a silver Toyota SUV, using a sixth person as a driver.

Houston police say the crime was captured on surveillance video.  They have taken the couple’s entire DVR system to investigate.
