Injured Houston Rockets center Nene will miss the rest of the NBA playoffs, the team announced Monday.
Nene exited Game 4 early on Sunday with a groin injury. He was gone before the end of the first quarter, but the Rockets went on to beat the San Antonio Spurs.
He will be treated for a left adductor tear.
Nene played less than two minutes before leaving the game.
The team’s statement Monday was, in full: “Houston Rockets center Nene will miss the remainder of the postseason with a left adductor tear. The Rockets medical staff is currently reviewing treatment options. An update will be provided once a decision is made.”
