You can now count anti-immigration proponents among those Trump voters growing more frustrated with the president. William Gheen with the Americans for Legal Immigration PAC says it’s time for the president to follow through with campaign promises, or his group will rescind its endorsement.
“We didn't just endorse him, our supporters and myself included gave him money, volunteered, made phone calls for him, put out signs, stood on overpasses waving flags, and all of that is coming to an end,” he says.
At issue is the Obama administration’s "Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals," or DACA amnesty for illegals who crossed the border as children.
“There's no corresponding legislation, there's no corresponding election results or anything that created DACA, it was created from the magic finger of Barack Obama and it could be ended with a stroke of a pen,” says Gheen.
Critics call Trump's recent support of DACA one of his biggest "flip-flops" to date.
“We don't support amnesty, we don't support violating the constitution, we don't support politicians that break their promises to the American public, and right now that's what Donald Trump is doing.”
