Intersection reopened after crane accident

A crane flipped into the air while trying to take down the Post Oak Boulevard sign overnight. 

Responders rescued one man trapped inside a bucket truck also involved in the construction around 3:30a.m., That's when crews were bringing the 7,000 pound sign down for construction at the intersection of Westheimer. the injured man was taken to the hospital for back injuries. Another person was also treated.

A dedicated bus lane is being built down the middle lane of Post Oak, which necessitated removing the iconic large round silver sign.
