A 14-year-old boy has been arrested this afternoon after the fatal shooting of 13-year-old in Freeport.
The suspect is charged with manslaughter and evidence tampering.
Eighth-grader Juan Borja was killed Wednesday night in Freeport's Peppermint Park on West Eighth Street.
According to the Freeport Police Department, the two boys were with other youths at the park when Borja produced a weapon, loaded it and made mention of Russian roulette.
The suspect pointed and fired the gun at Borja, who died of a bullet wound to the chest, according to police.
Police later found a gun in a field and now say it was the weapon used.
The investigation continues.
The suspect's name is not being released because he is a minor.
