Subtropical Depression One forms in Atlantic and Hurricane names for 2017

Hurricane season begins June 1, which is a lot closer than most of us think. Now, with that an area of low pressure in the central Atlantic has organized into a Subtropical Depression One, forecasters say it could become the first named storm in April since 2003.

As of now, Subtropical Depression One doesn’t pose a threat to Florida — or any land at all - but it seems like a good time to remind every one of the names that could come this season.
