A woman and a man have been shot to death in two locations in east Harris County on Monday – and sheriff’s deputies are looking into whether the two are connected.
Woman gunned down
In one incident an unnamed 61-year-old woman, 61 was gunned down in her driveway along the 12300 block of Greencanyon Drive.Authorities say her estranged husband shot her outside the home.
Deputies are searching for the 53-year-old suspect, who is believed to be driving a black Toyota Tundra.
"The victim did try to flee from the suspect. At one point, he did run to her, grab her and discharged his weapon, shooting her," Harris County Sheriff's Office Senior Deputy Thomas Gilliland said.
Police say a child inside the home was uninjured. The couple was separated and getting a divorce.
Second shooting
Another shooting took place at about 8 a.m. Monday at a commercial location on Kindred Drive, also in east Harris County.An unidentified man was shot and killed at this location. Police have no suspects.
