Asthma patients beware. Drug giant GlaxoSmithKline is recalling nearly 600-thousand albuterol inhalers over a potentially faulty delivery system.
A company official says the devices may not deliver the promised number of doses. Hospitals, pharmacies, and retailers in the u-s are subject to the recall.
Albuterol is used to open airways in the lungs for people suffering from common respiratory ailments like asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
The affected lot numbers are 6ZP0003, 6ZP9944 and 6ZP9848.
