Baytown Police have released a video clip of a possible suspect in the fatal shooting of a deputy constable.
The footage -- which NewsRadio 740 KTRH shares here via our news partner, Channel 2 --shows a dark minivan approaching and a man walking by and somewhat near a security camera.
Tips sought from public
Anyone who may recognize the person or his vehicle is asked to call the Baytown Police Department directly at (281) 422-8371.
Precinct 3 Assistant Chief Deputy Constable Deputy Clinton Greenwood was gunned down Monday morning in an ambush-style attack outside the Baytown courthouse. He was shot twice and died of a gunshot wound to the neck.
Also, "we encourage anyone with information about this shooting to contact Baytown Crime Stoppers," Baytown Police said in a statement. "You can call, text or fill out an online form – all anonymously. You will be given a unique code number. .... Call Baytown Crime Stoppers at 281-427-TIPS (8477) or text keyword "Baytown" and the tip to 274637 (CRIMES) -- or fill out an online Baytown Crime Stoppers form."
Funeral will be Thursday
Meanwhile, funeral arrangements for Greenwood have been announced.
Services will be Thursday at Second Baptist Church on Woodway Drive. Visitation will be open to the public starting at 10 a.m., with the service at 11 a.m.
