Country music legend Charlie Daniels is not known for holding back his views on politics, and is now going after supporters of so-called "sanctuary cities."
In a recent op-ed piece, Daniels proposed some cities "declare themselves a sanctuary for the unborn and refuse to abide by the federal laws allowing abortion."
"Just imagine a town or state going against federal law and abolishing all abortions and perhaps even finding a conservative judge who would say they had the right to do so."
The point he says, "if America is to be a nation of laws, we cannot honor some and ignore the others."
The 80-year-old was responding to several large cities' decision to shield illegal immigrants from deportation.
