You're ready to buy, but you can’t find the home you're looking for. A limited supply of homes for sale is making it hard for Houston home buyers.
Houston Association of Realtors chairman Cindy Hamann says the hottest properties are inside the Loop.
“Your suburban areas like Tomball, The Woodlands, Spring, Friendswood,” Hamann says, “all of those areas are still showing great and strong sales.”
Haman says there are plenty of homes for sale with prices of more than $300-thousand. The choices are more limited if you're looking for something under $200-thousand.
The national inventory of homes for sale is 30% below average right now. That doesn’t keep local realtors from holding open houses each weekend.
“This is typically the time that agents do a lot of open houses in the spring,” she points out, “because that's where most of the interest starts.”
