Weaponized civilian drones could be the next tools used by terrorists. Millions have been sold and the bad guys have already showed the ability to be creative.
National security analyst Edward Turzanski says the concern about using drones to attack the U.S. is very real.
“The possibilities are so wide-spread,” Turzanski says, “it's sufficient for people who are in the security field to lose sleep at night.”
Turzanski says drones could be used as guided missiles while carrying a payload of explosives.
“You could see where for a relatively low cost,” he says, “you could commit quite a bit of mayhem.”
