Poe Resigns from Conservative Caucus

Houston Congressman Ted Poe is keeping his job, but is resigning from the Conservative Freedom Caucus over disagreements on the healthcare reform bill. The Republican Lawmaker - who supported the American Heathcare Act said in a tweet he is committed to working with President Trump and House Speaker Paul Ryan to "provide affordable healthcare without Obamacare mandates".

In his resignation, Poe said, "Leaving this caucus will allow me to be a more effective member of Congress and advocate for the people of Texas." He added the hashtag "time to lead."

Congressman Poe added in a separate tweet "...Some only want to be the party of 'no' and would've voted against the Ten Commandments."
