Houston Rodeo Draws Record Crowds This Year

The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo set an attendance record this year.

Rodeo officials say total attendance was 2,611,176.

The record count was made after the Zac Brown Band closed out this year’s rodeo in front of more than 74,000 fans.

“Thank you to everyone who joined us at #RODEOHOUSTON & made it the best yet!” the rodeo tweeted Monday.

The rodeo, founded in 1931 as the Houston Fat Stock Show and Livestock Exposition and a regional tradition in the years since then, drew 2,462,030 fans last year.
