The mainstream media continues to try and frame illegal immigration as something minor.
For instance, in a recent piece CNN said that being an illegal immigrant is "not necessarily" a crime. Elizabeth Theiss at Stop the Magnet, a local anti-illegal immigration group, told KTRH that's news to her.
“When they arrive here they have to commit other crimes in order to function in our society. We have a proliferation, for example, of identity theft,” Theiss explained.
And she adds this is just another example of why you no longer trust the mainstream media the way you may have in the past.
“More and more Americans, frankly, are beginning to question the motives of the media,” Theiss stated, adding that this was a point President Donald Trump started pointing out during his campaign last year, and a point he continues to make today.
