Katy Part of Saturday's National Pro-Trump Rallies

More than 60 "Spirit of America" rallies will take place in cities nationwide this weekend -- including Katy in Fort Bend County -- and organizers say they're being billed as inclusive, bipartisan and not a protest against the left.

Robert Sherwood, a citizen who is organizing the rally in Washington, D.C., told NewsRadio 740 KTRH that as he began to gather permits and promote his grassroots effort, he quickly found out he wasn't alone.

He said he wanted a gathering for people who wanted to start putting America first.

The D.C. rally will take place Saturday at Lafayette Park, across from the White House. Sherwood says it's intended in part "to thank President Trump" and to "send good vides" to him.

There's a place locally show your support for the president . A "Spirit of America" rally is set for 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday at the Fry Road Park and Ride.
