Should Trump compromise with Dems?

There’s a thought that’s been put out by Democrats that if President Trump really wants to make America great again, he will have to compromise with his political opponents on the left.

But, do Trump supporters want him to do that? Dwayne Wright, the Chairman of the San Jacinto County Republican Party, told KTRH that’s not something he’s for, especially when it comes to illegal immigration.

“There’s just no way a sovereign state can exist with the welfare system and entitlement systems that we have in place with an open border. They cannot coexist,” Wright said.

And Wright also doesn’t like the term ‘compromise.’

“I don’t believe going into the battle waving the white flag. The word compromise isn’t important. Maybe the word ‘negotiate’ is,” Wright explained.

And there's this, a new poll shows 63% of you say it's better for the country if Democrats try to work with the President as opposed to blocking his every move. Gerry Birnberg, the former Harris County Democratic Party Chairman, says that does make some sense.

“Democrats have been lured into adopting the Republican strategy of total obstructionism about everything,” Birnberg explained, adding the left is still upset Republican Senators never gave a hearing to President Obama’s nomination of Merrick Garland for the Supreme Court last year.

The latest poll from Rasmussen shows that 46% of Democrats think it's better if Democrats try to work with Trump. 44% of Democrats think it's better if they oppose Trump on everything he does.
