An improvised pipe bomb was found in a home in Shepherd, police said.
The homemade explosive was detonated and a man living at the home was arrested.
The San Jacinto Sheriff's Office says it dispatched deputies to a residence on East Post Oak Road at about 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
Deputies found what they believed to be an explosive device, so a bomb squad was sent to the scene.
The man’s name has not been released.
