Houston’s Super Bowl Week Off to a Strong Start

Houston Super Bowl Host Committee members say they're ready for thousands of visitors this week. More than 100-thousand had checked out the activities last weekend, even before the official kickoff of Super Bowl week.

CEO Ric Campo is making big promises to the people who come.

“It's going to be amazing what people see here,” Campo says. “We're the most diverse city in America. We're fun and affordable. And, if you can dream it here, you can do it.”

The teams are here. The Atlanta Falcons arrived over the weekend and a plane carrying the New England Patriots landed Monday afternoon. Campo thanked the more than 10-thousand volunteer workers.

Things are off to a solid start. “No major traffic issues on the first weekend and we think it will work really well going forward,” he says. “The key is, download the app and make sure that you plan before you go.”
