Trump White House: Spanish website on the way

The Trump White House caused waves when it did not have a Spanish language website when he took over as President. But, the administration says that is actually coming and not every Trump supporter thinks it’s the right idea.

President Trump has talked about the need to assimilate immigrants, and Daniel Horowitz at the Conservative Review says this may have been a missed opportunity.

“It’s a shame. This could have been a great opportunity for him to start off on the right foot. People actually expect that sort of relatively radical change from him,” Horowitz explained.

Mauro E. Mujica, with the advocacy group U.S. English, told KTRH he's not sure the Spanish language should get special treatment.

“There are many languages in this country; over 300 languages. So, putting some sort of edition in one language I think is unfair,” Mujica stated.

Mujica is an immigrant from Chile who says immigrants should assimilate the way he did.

“I think it’s just common sense to try to assimilate people who live in this country,” he said.

And we see that lack of assimilation every day in Houston, with the amount of signs you see in Spanish.
