Voting In Harris County Remains An Utter Embarrassment

New elections administrator handpicked by Lina Hidalgo, the same incompetence. Harris County's new Election Administrator Clifford Tatum failed miserably

More than a dozen voting locations ran out of the paper used to print ballots. Some sites had no ballots on hand for more than an hour

At NRG Arena, 21 of 44 machines were down.

The election judge at BakerRipley on Navigation said they couldn’t open on time because their supplies including the key to open voting machine were not dropped off

The Houston Chronicle reports that at around 4:30p Tatum’s staff claimed that polling locations weren’t struggling with their supply of paper.

However, Harris County GOP Chair Cindy Siegel saying she had gotten reports saying that official expressed concern to her earlier in the day that locations were running low on paper and by the afternoon some places had run out of paper.

Tatum admitted to the Chronicle shortly before 7p that they were providing paper to “at least 12 to 17” locations which they point out that his “comments contradicted those his communications staff had provided to the Houston Chronicle at about 4:30 p.m., when they asserted polling locations weren't struggling with their supply of paper.”

Siegel said “from our standpoint, it seems there was an attempt to make sure there were not enough ballots at Republican polls.”

Election workers at TH Rogers School in the Tanglewood area says their site had no paper ballots on hand between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m.

The election judge at BakerRipley on Navigation Boulevard said they were slow to open because they didn't have the proper election supplies dropped off, including the key to open voting machines.
