A man was walking his dog at Memorial Park with his girlfriend last night when he spotted three men near his car and heard a window break.
He saw that one of the men breaking into his car was armed, so he pulled his own piece and opened fire.
Investigators say no one was hit, but officers were able to quickly respond.
They were able to apprehend one of the suspects.
HPD Lt. Mike Barrow tells KHOU:
"We have a lot of Houston police resources in the area.
We are running a lot of overtime in the area as well, all throughout the city."
