Watch: Off-Duty Cop Stops Robbery At Dentist Office In Brazil

The unnamed Brazilian cop is seen on surveillance video getting his teeth worked on when two robbers armed with knives enter the office.

The robbers make the mistake of entering the room where the off-duty cop is getting worked on, they force him to the floor.

As Newsweek reports:

“The man sitting in the dentist's chair slowly gets up and lies down on the floor. One of the men brandishing knives, who is wearing an Adidas hooded sweatshirt, approaches the man on the ground.
Suddenly a struggle ensues, with the dental patient quickly gaining the upper hand.
As the video continues it becomes apparent that the man who came in for his dentist appointment is carrying a gun.
He points it at the man in the Adidas sweatshirt, who lies flat on the ground with his hands on his head. Approaching the corridor, the armed patient is attacked by another of the armed men but once again subdues him. The clip ends with him standing over the second man.”

The incident reportedly took place on Thursday and the off-duty cop is a 25-year veteran of Brazil’s Federal District Military Police.
