During annual congressional baseball game yesterday, Florida Republican Rep. Greg Steube hit a shot to left field that cleared the wall at Nationals Park.
As the analyst for C-SPAN that was calling the game noted “that was a bona fide major league home run right there.”
Lake Jackson Rep. Ron Paul is believed to have been the first lawmaker to hit an out-of-the-park home run in the game, doing so in 1979 at Alexandria, Va.
He did it in the ‘Stros rainbow uniform.
