Relatives Of Murdered Family Blasts Judges For Freeing Violent Offenders

Xavier Davis, 28, is charged with three counts of capital murder for the shooting deaths of Donyavia Lagway, Gregory Carhee and their daughter, 6-year-old Harmony Carhee. He is also charged with shooting the couple's 10-year-old daughter in the arm.

Davis was free on multiple bonds for armed robbery and aggravated assault.

Angela Ervin, an aunt to the victims, says she had to identify the bodies and she wants Harris County activist judges to view the bodies before releasing anymore of these violent criminals.

Ervin tells Fox 26:

“before these judges even consider, even have the thought of giving these people bonds they need to look at these bodies beforehand and I think that would change their mind.”

Initially, a judge set bond for Davis over the three murders at just over a million dollars.

Yup, he was granted a bond for the triple homicide.

Dominique Robins, a cousin of the victims, says “I just couldn't believe they would give a bond to someone who murdered three people and a 6-year-old.”

Crime Stoppers Andy Kahan added “it would have been nice to see all the courts on the capital murder cases say, 'No bond.' 'Bond denied.' Period. That would be appropriate."

On Tuesday, a judge denied Davis’ ability to bond out temporarily.
