Video Shows Catalytic Converter Theft That Leads To Shooting In W. Houston

Houston Police say they are searching for three men after a shooting in West Houston over an attempted catalytic converter theft.

The incident happened on April 23rd when a woman notice someone under a vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot in the 7700 block of Corporate. According to investigators, the suspect had a saw and was trying to remove the catalytic converter.

The suspected was confronted by a group and then ran to a vehicle & grabbed a gun.He then opened fire on the group that had confronted him.

HPD are now looking for three suspect they are described as the follow:

  • Suspect No. 1 - Black male, 22 to 28 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet in height, 205 pounds in weight, brown eyes, black complexion, black braided hair, black t-shirt, tan pants, white shoes. This is the gunman and converter thief, police say.
  • Suspect No. 2 - Hispanic male, 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 6 inches in height, 160 pounds in weight, black hair, light brown complexion, medium build
  • Suspect No. 3 - Black male, 17 to 22 years old, medium build, blue long sleeve - suspect’s Vehicle - 2013 to 2018 Black Chevrolet Malibu.
