He makes the outrageous claim that they’re doing it in order to educate and influence the public. How altruistic of them.
Sports Illustrated reports that Silver spoke to public health officials who says "there would be a real public health benefit to getting some very high profile African Americans vaccinated."
Last month, Silver vowed that the league would not request special treatment for its players in receiving the vaccine, telling ESPN “our players are so young and healthy without some sort of comorbidity, they will not be a high priority for vaccinations.”
