Angela Marsden, owner of Pineapple Hill Saloon & Grill, says that she went to her restaurant to pay her staff.
Her Saloon & Grill has been forced to close because of new orders by the mayor & Governor.
She says she was in shock when she saw that a movie company had apparently been permitted to set up a large outdoor dining area some 50-feet from her location.
Marsden says she’s she spent around $80,000 setting up an outdoor dining area and making changes to meet L.A. County's health requirements, but she's run out of loan money and can't afford to offer takeout, so for now, she's closing.
She says “I walk into my parking lot, and, obviously, Mayor Garcetti has approved this,” pointing to several large tents with tables and chairs underneath them.
She continued on saying “I’m losing everything. Everything I own is being taken away from me. And they set up a movie company right next to my outdoor patio, and people wonder why I’m protesting and why I’ve had enough.”
She then asked why her outdoor patio is “dangerous” but the outdoor setup yards away from it is permitted, calling it a “slap in the face.”
