BLM Activist Arrested For Shooting Innocent Driver In Utah During March

Police in Utah have arrested two people in connection with a shooting that happened Monday evening during a BlackLivesMatter march in Provo.

Video shows a group of BLM “protesters” surround a vehicle, then a man shot at the driver from the passenger side. The driver was hit by the bullet and accelerated, nearly hitting a few “protesters”. The gunman ran after the vehicle and fired a second shot.

KSL-TV reports:

"Jesse Taggart, 33, of Salt Lake City, and 27-year-old Samantha Darling, of Ogden, were arrested Tuesday, according to officials with the Provo Police Department.
Sgt. Nisha King with the Provo Police Department said Taggart was booked into the Utah County Jail on multiple charges, including attempted aggravated murder, aggravated assault, rioting, firing a weapon near a highway and criminal mischief.
Darling was booked on charges of obstruction of justice and rioting."

Provo City Council Chair George Handley says the victim was an elderly man who was just passing through the area while running an errand.He was not apart of the protest or counterprotest. He remains hospitalized in “stable” condition.
