96-Year-Old WWII Vet Plays The National Anthem On His Harmonica Last Night

“Harmonica” Pete DuPre has played the harmonica at veterans events around the world.

Prior to Sunday’s game at Madison Square Garden, he’s done the national anthem for the Minnesota Vikings and before a U.S. women’s soccer match.

During World War II, DuPre served in the Army medical corps in England.He says he and his teammates provided full-time care to wounded servicemen.

He said in an interview earlier this year, ““We were on the other side of the Channel.Those patients were brought to us and our job was to start to put them back together again. Just that simple.”
