The Radical Democrat-Socialists Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib are endorsing the Radical Democrat-Socialist Bernie Sanders for president.
The Sanders campaign confirmed the backing by three members of “The Squad.”
The Sanders’s campaign says Ocasio-Cortez will appear with the senator at a rally in her home district in New York this weekend.
As several outlets note, the endorsements are a blow to Elizabeth Warren who had courted members of “The Squad”.
There was no indication that the fourth member of the Squad, Rep. Ayannna Pressley, D-Mass., was ready to make an endorsement — either of Sanders or any other candidate.
