The incident happened while WAVE-TV reporter Sara Rivest was reporting live from a local music festival when the man popped on-camera and planted a kiss on her cheek.
Rivest said as it happened during the live shot, “OK, that was not appropriate.Let’s just go to the story.”
The man who kissed Rivest was revealed to be Eric Goodman, 42, who was charged with harassment with physical contact, which is a misdemeanor.
Goodman wrote an apology to Rivest, writing in part, "I sincerely apologize and deeply regret my actions where I allowed immaturity to humiliate you, myself, and many others."
