The accident occurred at the Shuiyun Water Park in northeast China, and the footage shows the massive wave suddenly barreling over the myriad people soaking in the water.
Bodies were sent flying and tumbling over each other as the "tsunami" crashed down, reportedly resulting in 44 injuries.
A spokesman for the water park said that the incident was the result of a mechanical error.
