Artificial Intelligence Teaching Medical Empathy

Doctors will be using OpenA-I's ChatGPT in a surprising new way - to help them speak with patients more empathetically - you know...more like a human!

We take a lack of bedside manner from doctors as a given...but now The New York Times is reporting that soon physicians could be helped by OpenA-I's ChatGPT with more empathetic ways to deliver difficult news. Dr. Vivek Rajan of Houston Patient Advocacy says it's a good use of the technology as long as the doctor makes it their own delivery. "Somethings you just can't replace. Especially when a patient hears bad news - it has to be from a doctor face-to-face."

Dr. Rajan says artificial inteligence is very important in his industry. "Chat GPT was checked out - and they say it passed the Medical License Exam!" He says everyone's already using AI for administrative purposes and some for clinical decision making although some administrators don't think it's wise...Nonetheless --- there's no telling what is coming in the future.

The Robots are Taking Over!

Dr. Rajan says artificial intelligence is very important in his industry. "It's (AI) going to transform medicine - just like it's transforming all other industries - in ways we currently can't even imagine!" He says everyone's already using AI for administrative purposes and some for cliniccal decision making although some administrators don't think it's wise...Nonetheless --- there's no telling what is coming in the future.
