Is your resume dead?

Job recruiters tell us the resume has lost its dominance and could be only 10 percent of the hiring process.

While it's still good to have one, the resume isn't as important as your online presence, research and networking.

Diana Anderson of JobSparx has some great advice. “If you are really interested in a company – you might want to do some research. Find someone on LinkedIn that works for that company. Call them and say, ‘I’m really interested in your company and I want to know how to get employed there.’”

Make sure what you touted on the job application is correct. “We’re going to find you on LinkedIn, we’ll Google you and even find you on Facebook. So make sure if you remove all those pictures of you drinking!” Anderson laughs.

Even your Linkedin photo should representative of the career you want.
