Matt Patrick Memorial Service this morning

This morning we honor our friend Matt Patrick, who passed away on Sunday at his home after a two-year battle with cancer. Matt hosted Houston’s Morning News for six years on Newsradio 740 KTRH.

A memorial service that is open to the public is set for 10 o’clock this morning at Second Baptist Church – West Campus on Katy Freeway. Sheriff Troy Nehls of Fort Bend County is the Patrick family spokesman and told KTRH you’ll hear some familiar voices remembering him.

“His wife Paula will be speaking. She has put a beautiful memorial service together to honor her husband,” Nehls stated.

Matt was a big supporter of law enforcement, and the law enforcement community is expected to be well represented this morning.

“Matt Patrick’s footprint and the impact he made in the law enforcement community will never be forgotten. It will never fade away,” Nehls explained.

The service is open to the public.

“If Matt had an impact on you over the last several years, we encourage you to come out and honor him and his family,” Nehls said.

If you cannot attend the service, you can listen online at KTRH.com and the iHeartRadio app.
