Chemicals used to create chemical weapons in Syria are set to arrive in southeast Texas to be destroyed.

U.N. inspectors have been allowed into Syria to inspect and removed that countries chemical weapons after they were used on civilians.  Those chemicals used to create the weapons are planned to be shipped to an environmental services company in Port Arthur to be destroyed.

Veolia Environmental Services' Port Arthur facility is less than 100 miles from Houston, though the company says the destruction of the deadly chemicals is safe.

The chemicals have not yet arrived for destruction and it is not known when they will.
