A&M Faces Miami in Playoffs; UT in Citrus Bowl; UH in Texas Bowl vs LSU

Two Texas College Football teams have managed to earn a spot in the Big 12 Championship Playoffs.

The Aggies earned a spot in the first-round matchup set taking the No. 7 Ranking and will go head-to-head with No. 10 Miami.

Texas Tech is the Number 4 Seed and has a bye.

For Texas A & M this is a monumental win, being their first playoff berth in the program's history. The Aggies have a new coach, and he has proven he is the man for the job.

Coach Mike Elko has only been with the team for 2 seasons.

The Tech Red Raiders have also landed on the grid, they are the Number 4 Seed, and they have a bye.

The College Football Playoff is set-

No. 5 Oregon vs. No. 12 James Madison

No. 6 Ole Miss vs. No. 11 Tulane

No. 7 Texas A&M vs. No. 10 Miami

No. 8 Oklahoma vs. No. 9 Alabama

Byes:

- No. 1: Indiana

- No. 2: Ohio State

- No. 3: Georgia

- No. 4: Texas Tech

Notre Dame is OUT.

In other bowls:

UT will play Michigan at the Citrus Bowl on New Year’s Eve in Orlando, FL.

The Houston Cougars will play at NRG in the Texas Bowl on December 27th. They will play LSU.

TCU will play USC at the Alamo Bowl in San Antonio on December 30th.

UTSA will play FIU in the First Responder Bowl on December 26th at the campus of SMU.

Rice, with a 5-7 record, will play Texas State at the Lockheed Martin Armed Forced Bowl in Fort Worth on January 2nd.
