The Democrats had a plan with illegal immigration all along. Do not be so gullible as to think it was about "loving and caring" for people. That could not be further from the truth. Democrats have supported open borders for years with one simple goal in mind: to create a blue majority. In other words, cheat their way to wins to impose their radical progressive agenda.
That was never more evident under President Biden, whose intentional negligence at the border resulted in over 20-million illegals flooding into the country. President Trump is doing his best to rectify that, but you can only do so much when millions entered the country, with no vetting or way to track them down. Still, even as Americans plead with Democrats to stop the open border nonsense, they are doubling down, blocking Trump's actions at every turn.
So, enter Kentucky U.S. Senate Candidate Nate Morris, who is running to replace the outgoing Senator Mitch McConnell. Morris is proposing a new moratorium on all immigration into the United States, legal or illegal. You can almost hear the Democrat temper tantrum already.
Morris says this is about more than just stopping criminals. This is about saving our society.
"America is the last bastion of Western civilization," he says. "It hangs in the balance, and it is predicated on how successful we are in making sure these illegals get back from where they came."
It is not just Mexico or South America that has been invading us anymore, either. Just a few months ago, Muslims in New York held a massive call to prayer in Times Square. Mind you, that is the same city 20 years removed from a terror attack, carried out by Muslim jihadists. Some at that prayer event might have been legal immigrants, sure. Certainly not all Muslims are bad people. But how do we know? We don't, because our system has been broken for four years.
The numbers under Biden were staggering, to say the least. On average under the Biden Administration, Border Patrol saw about 250,000 encounters per month at the border. For context, under Trump, that number has dwindled in most months to under 10,000.
That is where this moratorium can help things. The system has become so overloaded, we need time to reset.
"We have millions and millions of people trying to get into the country legally...let alone all the illegals we have to deal with...and that is why we have to stop immigration, period," says Morris.
That is a tall task, but it can be done. Especially with Trump's lack of concern for what temper tantrum the Democrats will throw.
The Democrat plan though has failed, and the sooner we can get a handle on things, the sooner we can get back to a functioning society.
"Immigration is not a right of anyone...it is a privilege to be able to immigrate to this country," Morris says. "We do not owe that to anybody, and we have to get our house in order."
Morris is entirely correct. Immigration is not a right; it is a privilege. America owes the world nothing, and certainly not to allow just anyone into the country.
Whether the idea gets support or not, we will see. But Americans have voiced their clear frustration with the immigration situation. If the plan does come to fruition, it could be a new way of finally getting our problems under control, while also fixing a broken immigration system. Ultimately as well, we could save Western civilization as we know it.
