Police say it happened around 7 p.m. when a marked patrol car and a van carrying several children collided. The officer and two kids were flown by LifeFlight to nearby hospitals, while others were treated at the scene or taken by ambulance. A local new outlet is reporting the Harris County DA's office calling this a deafly crash.
So far, no names or updates on their conditions have been released. Baytown Police and the Harris County District Attorney’s Office are still working to figure out what caused the crash.
