Houston firefighters worked into the afternoon to control a fire at warehouse near Mykawa Dr. at the South Sam Houston Tollway.
The two-alarm blaze on the south side sent out some spectacular smoke, with flames that observers said could even be seen from the traffic cameras used by Transtar.
The warehouse is said to be owned by a company that works with wooden pallets.
There were no injuries reported; now investigators are searching for the cause of the fire.
