Deputies shot and injured a man after they received reports of a man drinking and firing a gun into the air early Sunday morning.
The office of Precinct One Constable Alan Rosen released the following statement.
“A suspect had reportedly been drinking excessively and shooting a gun into the air.
Deputies entered the home with the homeowner’s consent and found the armed suspect on the back patio.
Shots were fired. The suspect was wounded and fled to a nearby residence. No deputies were harmed.
Deputies quickly found the suspect and began treating him for his injuries.
He was then transported to the hospital, where he is in stable condition.
The suspect, Hector Reyes, is charged with aggravated assault of a police officer.”
