President Biden warns America is becoming "Oligarchy" in farewell speech

After four years in office, President Biden delivered his final address from the Oval on Wednesday night. In what was a farewell address, Biden took his usual time to bash the incoming administration.

During his address, Biden spoke on things he sees as a 'great concern' moving forward. One of those was fears, according to him, that America is becoming an oligarchy.

"That is a dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a few wealthy people, and if left unchecked...today, an oligarchy is taking shape in America, of extreme wealth, power, and influence, that literally threatens our entire democracy," Biden said.

He also warned of the rise of 'social media misinformation,' and after years of letting social media companies censor information, says action needs to be taken.

"The truth is smothered by lies, told for power and profit...we must hold social platforms accountable to protect our children, families, and democracy from the abuse of power," he said.

Biden went on to warn about the rise of artificial intelligence, and said it is now 'Americans turn to carry the torch,' in protecting democracy.
