Investigators were going through the smoking remains of a several apartments on Houston's southwest side Saturday, trying to find the cause of an early morning blaze that left several people without a home -- yet there were no injuries reported.
Firefighters were called to the Ridge Point Apartments about 4:15 Saturday morning, where they immediately began trying to get the fire under control, according to officials.
It took about two hours for them to control the blaze because of strong winds, so a second alarm was called to get more fire crews and trucks and help.
Firefighters were seen helping people out of their burning apartments as crews poured water onto two of the buildings.
In the end, all the residents made it out of the burning structures.
The Houston Fire Department said some first responders were at the apartment complex for an unrelated call when they were informed of the blaze, so they rushed to help people get out of their apartments as the flames threatened.
There are reports that arson investigators have been called to look through the rubble, in an attempt to find the cause of the blaze.
The Red Cross arrived at the fire scene on Saturday afternoon and are helping the victims.
